In August, 2006 Hamill was part of a medical mission to the rural poor in remote Vietnam. There she worked with the villagers both on clinic triage and on colaborative photography. She is preparing a video installation that will include their fishing nets, woven mats and medical coupons. Background is provided in this video for International Medical Options, Stanford University Medical Center.
